And according to this Sun-Times article, he's even got a campaign office:

[S]pokesman Andy Sere said Ozinga is ready.

"He is spending his time in April laying the groundwork for a campaign so he can start right away on April 30 when the county board chairmen select him," Sere said.

Ozinga has been busy the past few weeks soliciting support - and the promise of funding - from friends, family and Republican leaders, Sere said. He's already opened a campaign office and started a Web site.

Meanwhile, it doesn't look like there's going to be any money left over from Tim Baldermann's aborted candidacy:

Baldermann, who won the Republican primary Feb. 5 but withdrew from the race later that month, is in the midst of closing out his campaign fundraising committee.

"When all is said and done, there will be nothing left in the campaign fund," he said. "In fact, I'll be on the hook for some money that I'll never recoup."
