Last Friday night, we officially launched Progress Illinois with a great party at Chicago's Kitsch'n River North. Thank you so much to all who came. A special thanks goes out to 6th District congressional candidate Jill Morgenthaler, as well as Aldermen Rick Munoz, Toni Preckwinkle, Bob Fioretti, and Rey Colon. We also had numerous local organizations represented, including the SEIU Illinois State Council (who sponsors the site), the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, the Grassroots Collaborative, the Delta Institute, the Chicago Justice Project, and last but not least, several staffers from the Obama campaign. Finally, we held a raffle that raised $800 for CommunityHealth, Illinois largest free health care clinic.
