Just now, Sen. Dick Durbin treated MSNBC's national audience to a line that may sound familiar if you've spent some time following politics here in Illinois. When asked by anchor Norah O'Donnell about reports that the GOP plans to target Michelle Obama during the general election season, Durbin first responded that Michelle "can take it." Then he added, "The hottest ring in hell is reserved for those in politics who attack their opponents' families. And if there are some Republican strategists who think that's the way to win the election, I think they're wrong." O'Donnell seemed a bit stunned.
