Above is a diagram of the county-by-county presidential election results in Illinois between 1980 and 2004 (click on the image for a larger version). The Republican candidate carried the state (and the country) during the first three presidential cycles, while the Democrat won in the four most recent.
Obviously, Barack Obama is going to take Illinois this year. But on Election Day, will his home state look as blue as it did in 1992? Even bluer?

The Diagram really shows that the Republican candidates have been very influential in the past election but in the '92 and '96 it was a different story and it is slowly showing again that the republic is going strong again. Obama will have his chance in getting the people of Illinois to vote for him when the election time comes. Guy Riordan
