CTA's Next Stop: Service Cuts
Chicago Transit Authority officials approved a budget Thursday that includes borrowing millions from the Regional Transportation Authority in order to stave off fares hike over the next two years. However, the agency still plans to cut service and trim its payroll by more than 1,000 jobs.
