Flop Houses For The Mentally Ill
The Chi-Town Daily News' Alex Parker reports that a legal loophole in Illinois allows community homes to essentially become "flop houses" for the mentally ill without state regulation or supervision.

Driving While Black
With racial profiling is in the national news, Jim Warren digs up a 2008 report showing that, while white drivers were more likely to be in possession of contraband, Illinois police more frequently asked to search cars driven by African-Americans.

Climate Change Forgeries
According to the Virginia-based website Daily Progress, a D.C. lobbying shop forged letters to Democrats from civil rights organizations voicing opposition to the House climate bill.
