Emotions were high yesterday as the Illinois House debated, and eventually voted down, an amendment that would grant local officials the authority to issue concealed carry permits.
Gov. Quinn's office confirmed that the Tinley Park Mental Health Center will close, even though legislators passed a budget last
month that includes $10 million to keep the facility open.
