Scandaled former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich will make a public statement in front of TV cameras this evening, his last night as a free man for the next several years.
Former governor Rod Blagojevich, who was sentenced to 14 years in prison last week, will get one extra month of freedom before having to report to a federal facility to be begin serving his time.
In a blistering 21-page brief filed with U.S. District Judge James
Zagel, federal prosecutors recommended that Rod Blagojevich get 15-20
years in prison for his corruption conviction.
The Sun-Times is reporting that federal prosecutors say former Gov. Rod Blagojevich's sentence could range from 30 years to life; he was found guilty of 18 counts of corruption charges.
