Former U.S. Senate candidate Cheryle Jackson has stepped down
as president and CEO of the Chicago Urban League. On unpaid leave since
she launched her campaign last September, Jackson will take a jobas
vice president of government affairs and corporate development with AAR
Corp., an aerospace supplier based in suburban Wood Dale.
In response to the news that Broadway Bank will have to raise $76 million in capital, U.S. Senate candidates David Hoffman and Cheryle Jackson continued to criticize Alexi Giannoulias, whose family owns the bank.
After the news surfaced yesterday that federal regulators were stepping up their oversight of his family's bank, Alexi Giannoulias is facing strong criticism from his rivals in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate, Cheryle Jackson and David Hoffman.
