Dems Eye 5 Illinois Districts In Plan To Regain The House (VIDEO)

Democrats have their eyes on five Illinois congressional districts as part of their ultimate plan to regain control of the House of Representatives during the November elections. This afternoon, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced the first-round of candidates in its Red-To-Blue program, which "highlights top Democratic campaigns across the country, and offers them financial, communications, grassroots, and strategic support," according to the web site.

Five of the 18 seats on the Red-To-Blue district list were in Illinois, including that of Tea Party sweetheart U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh (R-8).

Kinzinger Constituents Make Another Call For Good Jobs (VIDEO)

The following was written by Ron Kurowski of MoveOn.org.

“Please tell him, we need good jobs in Joliet. This is the community he represents." That was the message Monica Morales of Joliet wanted U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger’s (R) aides to relay to the 11th congressional district congressman. Monica, who spoke passionately about the difficulty of finding good, well paying jobs and living on a minimum wage income, has been unemployed for over two years.

Steven Hausun has also been unemployed for over two years and is losing his house. He wants those “who ruined the economy to be held accountable”. His voice rising in anger, he said “Wall Street needs to go to jail”. For him, “the American Dream is over”.

Kinzinger Butters His Bread While Constituents Stand Outside

On Tuesday, U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-11) spent a pleasant morning inside the Patricia Haley Mansion schmoozing with moneyed interests of the Joliet Chamber of Commerce who had the $30 or $40 to give to his campaign fund. Outside stood a small group of residents of Joliet, hoping somehow to finally get the chance to air their views with Mr. Kinzinger. Many of these people have been unemployed for upwards of two years, and it was extremely important for them to have access to him in their own town.
