When he takes office as Illinois' new Treasurer, state Sen. Dan Rutherford (R-Chenoa) will be replaced by state Rep. Shane Cultra (R-Onarga). GOP chairmen representing the nine counties in Rutherford's 53rd District selected Cultra to serve the remaining two years of Rutherford's term.
