Progress Illinois

Angela Caputo is a reporter-blogger for Progress Illinois. Angela joined PI in September 2008, following five years as a reporter for the Sun-Times News Group. Most recently, she worked the education beat at the Southtown Star, which covers issues pertinent to Chicago's Far South Side and south suburbs. Prior to attending Columbia College Chicago, where she earned a M.A. in journalism in 2004, Angela spent five years working in social service organizations and as a community organizer in Chicago's Uptown, Rogers Park, and Edgewater neighborhoods.
