During Gov. Pat Quinn's budget address today he outlined proposals to cut education spending and challenged legislators to move on pension reform.

In what would be his first run for public office, millionaire venture capitalist Bruce Rauner announced Tuesday he could be a Republican candidate in the 2014 gubernatorial race.

Gov. Pat Quinn, as expected, vetoed legislation yesterday that would allow a casino in Chicago and four other sites around Illinois, as well as allow slot machines at racetracks.

Gov. Pat Quinn is set to give his budget address for Illinois’ upcoming fiscal year, which starts July 1.
