On the heels of the new Tribune poll showing her with a significant lead
in the Democratic primary for Cook County board president, Toni
Preckwinkle received the endorsement of the SEIU Illinois State Council
(which sponsors this website).
"Toni Preckwinkle has been an independent progressive Democrat and has
stood up for working families during her entire career on the City
Council," executive director Jerry Morrison told us moments ago. He
added that the union believes she is the "best option" for board
