Don't expect home prices in Chicagoland to rebound anytime soon. According to a new forecast by California-based John Burns Real Estate Consulting, foreclosures, high unemployment, and a tight lending climate in the metro area could prevent a full housing market recovery until 2013. The Woodstock Institute reported late last week that the region is also lagging behind the national average in converting trial mortgage modifications into permanent modifications.
