Attorney General Lisa Madigan has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold its earlier decision not to force the state to close Chicago-area shipping locks to prevent the invasion of Asian carp. Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox, with the support of other Great Lakes states and environmentalists, has renewed his request after DNA from Asian carp was detected in Lake Michigan.
