A Cook County judge is expected to decide today whether to lift a temporary restraining order on Illinois' parental notification law, which requires doctors to notify a teenage girl's guardian 48 hours prior to performing the procedure.
Update (2:48 p.m.): A Cook County judge has lifted the temporary restraining order on the parental noticiation law, but cautioned that that doesn't mean the law goes into effect right away. The ACLU, which fought for the restraining order, is considering an appeal.
