Gov. Pat Quinn announced today that outgoing State Rep. Julie Hamos has been chosen to direct the Department of Healthcare and Family Services, replacing Barry Maram. The appointment comes after Hamos lost to Dan Seals in the Democrat primary in the 10th Congressional District.
