Chicago Mayor Richard Daley said Saturday that he wants to see the full City Council take a vote on a proposal to build a Wal-Mart in the Pullman neighborhood. The ordinance enabling the new store is currently in the zoning committee. Ald. Danny Solis (25th Ward), who chairs that committee, said he would considering sending it to the full council even if his panel votes it down. The mega-retailer has also expanded its City Hall lobbying team.
