Over 22,000 low-income Illinoisans have been hired to date as part of the federally subsidized "Put Illinois to Work" program, according to Illinois Department of Human Services Secretary Michelle Saddler. By the time the program's funding runs dry in November, the Quinn administration estimates that over 30,000 Illinois residents will benefit.
