Several Cook County Commissioners have introduced an ethics package that would, among several provisions, force the county assessor and members of the county's tax appeals and zoning boards to disclose each quarter the names of all attorneys and other legal representatives who appeared before their agencies. Forrest Claypool, who is running for assessor as an Independent, is one of the sponsors of the legislation. Yesterday, he attacked Democratic nominee Joe Berrios -- currently a member of the Cook County Board of Review -- for alleged corruption.
