A new Democratic poll finds that Dan Seals, the Democratic candidate for the 10th Congressional District seat, is leading his Republican opponent, Robert Dold, 49-36 -- a full 13 points. The district, according to an analysis included with the poll that the Seals campaign released this morning, notes that President Barack Obama retains his popularity in the district and Seals has stronger name recognition (73-47) than Dold. The poll was based on phone interviews with 500 likely 10th Congressional District voters in this fall's general election between August 30 and September 2.
