Chicago's 9th Ward Alderman Anthony Beale wants to get rid of the requirement that city police officer applicants must have completed at least two years of college as a way to "level the playing field" for minorities and increase diversity. Meanwhile, the city is holding its first police entrance exam in four years as a means to resolving the current manpower shortage.
