In an effort to reduce the impact big corporations have on political races, Gov. Pat Quinn became a founding member of the Coalition for Accountability in Political Spending (CAPS), which is a group that includes elected officials from four other states. The organization aims to curtail unlimited political campaign spending by corporations and independent groups.
