State Sen. Rickey Hendon received a subpoena from U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald's office today in an investigation of how hundreds of thousands of state dollars were spent. Hendon is running for the office of Chicago mayor.

Five state agencies have received requests for financial information regarding transactions with a number of other agencies and individuals. Some of the agencies that received money from the state have connections with Hendon's relatives.
