Democratic U.S. Rep. Melissa Bean trimmed challenger Joe Walsh's lead by three votes following a small tally of Cook County absentee ballots, narrowing his advantage to 347 in the undecided 8th Congressional District race. Roughly 500 ballots in Cook County and 600 in Lake and McHenry counties have not yet been counted. Bean won't concede the race until all the results are tabulated.
