At the William Lipinski transportation policy symposium, Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan (D-Chicago) and Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno (R-Lemont) agreed that given the current budget crisis that the state is in, the program giving free transit rides to seniors may need to be scaled back. Gov. Pat Quinn is against ending the program.
