Gov. Pat Quinn is lobbying lawmakers to let stand an amendatory veto (HB 4842) he filed this year that would allow Illinoisans to vote in primary elections without declaring a party preference publicly. The General Assembly is expected to overturn Quinn's change during the veto session.
