Claiming Chicago was not Milwaukee, Mayor Richard Daley yesterday said the annual Taste of Chicago should always be a free event. Earlier this week, the city received one bid from a group hoping to take over seven events in Grant Park. The bidder is reportedly considering a $20 entrance fee for the Taste. Comparing the event to the Summer Fest in Milwaukee, Daley said, "No, it's called the taste of food. We're not into music. We're not into anything else."
