The Wisconsin Assembly passed a Republican bill overnight that would end collective bargaining rights for unions. The bill was passed 51 to 17, although some Democrats were unable to vote due to the abrupt nature in which debate was ended and a vote was called. The bill is now headed to the Wisconsin Senate, where 14 Democrats fled the state to Illinois in order to stall voting on the bill.
