Chicago Mayor Richard Daley joined a group of 550 mayors throughout the country in calling for stricter gun control laws. The group called the Mayors Against Illegal Guns is asking Congress to create a national registry of individuals prohibited from buying guns and and to require that background checks are conducted anytime someone buys a gun. In noting the high rates of gun violence, Daley said, "There's something wrong with America."
