Echoing a protest from her staff Monday regarding former Cook County Board President Todd Stroger's application for unemployment benefits, current President Toni Preckwinkle said today “I don’t think it’s appropriate for elected officials who lose elections to apply for unemployment compensation,” adding, “my understanding from staff is he’s ineligible.”
