Chicago Mayor Richard Daley took a swing Monday at a plan in Springfield to allow concealed carry, a plan which has passed through a House committee. Invoking the 43rd anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's assassination, Daley said, "we have learned nothing from that assassination. We have learned nothing that guns are killing another generation of young people. There have to be more people to stand up. Not those that have lost their loved ones, but anybody standing up on behalf of some child lost today or tomorrow or last week."
Mayor Daley
John Wayne Gacy killed over 20 people in your fair city. I dont believe he fired one shot. What have we learned from that? Apparently nothing because there have been several others who have killed without firing one single shot!! Timothy McVeigh killed more people in one day than all the school shootings. How many shots did McVeigh fire???? ZERO, NONE Please explain how all these people can be killed without firing one single shot Mr. Mayor. Of course you don`t care because you carry a firearm yourself and surrounded by police all the time
The people that need to stand up, Mr. Mayor are those who demand that they no longer be disarmed and denied their constitutional right to self defense by a city that has proven is cannot protect them from thugs and killers.
