GOP Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno is calling on Gov. Pat Quinn to revisit a contract with the state's largest union, the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). Radogno is asking for a hold-off on pay raises for the workers, adding, "I don't want to be anti-union, hostile or whatever, but when you add up what these raises have been … that’s a problem." AFSMCE spokesman Anders Lindall told the Chicago Tribune that the Minority Leader should look at raises she has given to her own staff before asking others to sacrifice.
