The Illinois Supreme Court announced Monday the formation of an investigative committee focusing on fairness in mortgage foreclosures, which may result in changes to the governing practices. The committee will make recommendations for foreclosure rules in counties throughout the state as well as recommendations statewide. The committee's aim is to improve homeowners' understanding of the foreclosure process.
