U.S. Senate Cancels July 4th Vacation

U.S. Senate Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) announced the Senate will not be taking a 10-day July 4th vacation and instead will stay in D.C. to work on the budget and debt limit. The comes one day after President Obama criticized Congress for taking a break without making strides to avoid a financial Armageddon. Republicans still insist they will not accept tax increases or raise the debt ceiling.

With so many people not being able to take trips over the 4th of July weekend because they can't afford it, it only seems fair to me that the Senate keep working on fixing the economy until they get it done!
