President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden have had to cancel several fundraisers for their re-election campaign over recent weeks due to talks on the debt ceiling. The scheduled events are said to have been capable of raising several million dollars for the President's re-election effort.
Obama will be missing another fundraiser tonight in Washington D.C. and a scheduled event set to take place at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom next month is in jeopardy. The event is scheduled for August 3 and is being planned to coincide with the President's 50th birthday, which is the following day. But if the August 2 default deadline is missed, the event will not happen.
