The Regional Transportation Authority board of directors approved a $435,000 tab to launch a customer survey about the Metra and Chicago Transit Authority services this fall. The board has picked Resource Systems Group (RSG) to implement the survey, analyze data and submit a report on things like fares, cleanliness and on-time performance. Earlier this year, the RTA hired RSG at $83,000 for a methodology proposal. PACE is doing it's own survey but is expected to use the same methods. These heavy price tags come at a time when the RTA is considering fare hikes.
