Tammy Duckworth, Democratic candidate for the 8th congressional district, plans to speak out against Tea Party extremism tonight at the DuPage Democratic Club. The Iraq veteran and former assistant secretary at the Department of Veterans Affairs will discuss her jobs plan and "call for an end to Washington extremism." The 8th congressional district is currently represented by Tea Partyer U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh (R-8).

Duckworth is scheduled to speak at 8 p.m. tonight at the Lombard Community Building located at 433 E. St. Charles Road.
