Raja Krisnamoorthi has garnered the endorsement of a suburban teachers union in the race for the Democratic nomination in the 8th congressional district. The Northwest Suburban Teachers Union Local 1211 has endorsed Krishnamoorthi in his race against Tammy Duckworth, former assistant secretary of Veteran's Affairs.

Combined with his immense local grassroots support and significant financial resources, Raja will be the best candidate to represent our 1,581-member strong organization of local teachers in the general election in 2012."
