Now that the House Ethics Committee has reinstated its investigation of Jesse Jackson Jr., Robert Blagojevich is petitioning to speak to the panel about the congressman. The former governor's brother sent a letter to each member of the ethics committee on Thursday offering to testify or otherwise provide information on Jackson Jr.'s alleged campaign to be appointed to President Barack Obama's former U.S. Senate seat.
“Based on what I know, I believe Jesse Jackson Jr. has a lot of unanswered questions that he needs to answer,” Robert Blagojevich said, according to the Sun Times. “There are a lot of unanswered questions he should be required to answer.”
Former 11th district congresswoman Debbie Halvorson has announced a run against Jackson in the 2nd congressional district race.
