Chicago Public School officials and Mayor Rahm Emanuel have announced the placing of school report cards online for public viewing. Later this week, parents will receive Progress Reports on their respective schools and the information will also be placed online via an interactive map. The progress reports will provide information on the school's teachers and staff, its academic performance, student-teacher ratios, student and staff attendance, graduation and college enrollment rates, and parent satisfaction.
“Parents are key partners in our effort to support principals and teachers in helping to boost student performance. We want to provide them with access to data on performance in a clear and understandable way so that they can be informed and fully engaged in their child’s education,” CPS CEO Jean-Claude Brizard said in a press release.
