U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh is expected to announce where he will run tonight at a Tea Party meeting in a Wrigleyville bar. Walsh is currently representing the 8th congressional district.

After initially stating in September that he would run against incumbent U.S. Rep. Randy Hultgren in the 14th congressional district due to where his residence falls under the remap, Walsh began backtracking recently, saying over the weekend that he would announce his new plans on Monday — although that never happened. Walsh went on to say that he was reluctant to "just give" a Democrat the 8th district, which he said appeared to be drawn for someone like candidate Tammy Duckworth.
