Chicago Ald. Rey Colon (35th) is yet another incumbent ward boss that has been thrown off the ballot for re-election to the seat. Colon, who has been ward committeeman since 2004, did not turn in enough valid signatures to stay on the ballot. That leaves only Nancy Schiavone, an attorney who ran against Colon last year, on the ballot in that ward.
Ald. Toni Foulkes (15th) has also been thrown off the ballot for ward committeeman in her ward and Ald. Howard Brookins (21st) may reportedly be the next incumbent to be pushed out of the race in his ward.
