Mayor Rahm Emanuel's controversial protest ordinance passed the Chicago City Council this morning.
The ordinance passed with a 45-4 vote. Ald. Leslie Hairston (5th) spoke up against the ordinance during its time on the floor, but most aldermen were in favor of the law spurred by the upcoming G8 and NATO summits.
