Occupy Chicago leased two units in a seven-story Pilsen building for a central office space. Occupy Chicago spokesman Joshua Kaunert told the Tribune that the permanent space should help draw more people to meetings and events, especially during the winter. That includes the first General Assembly meeting in the new building, which is to be held tonight.
"It will be nice to consolidate everything into one location," Kaunert told the newspaper. "We will have the ability to meet together and organize better, instead of meeting separately and coming together later."
Kaunert added that Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Oakland have their supplies stored in one space as well.
