The U.S. General Services Administration announced a $4 million donation to the Chicago Public Schools today in the form of computers and printers under a federal program "Computers for Learning."
The donation amounts to more than 2,000 computers and printers. CPS Chief Education Officer Jean-Claude Brizard announced the award this morning at Jahn Elementary School on the North Side. Brizard was accompanied by the congressman representing the school's neighborhood, Mike Quigley (D-5), who worked to direct the federal money to CPS.
