Former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich has been assigned a prison ID number from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Blagojevich's number is 40892-424, which will be used to identify him during the 14 years he has been sentenced to serve in a Colorado prison. The former governor has to report to prison in just days, March 15.
Last week, U.S. District Judge James Zagel ordered the state to hand over $21,800 of Blagojevich's pension to cover a $20,000 fine and court fees. The remaining amount in Blagojevich's pension account, $107,367, will go to the Blagojevich family.
