Even with the G8 summit relocated to Camp David, there will be another international summit being held simultaneously with NATO's. A child malnutrition summit will be held at the Chicago History Museum May 21, the second day of the two-day NATO summit.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton created the "1,000 Days Summit," named after the first 1,000 days in child development. The summit will include a range of international and also Chicago groups including the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the largest food pantry in the city, and World Business Chicago, a non-profit group of business leaders that is also planning the NATO summit.
