The Chicago City Council has passed a speed light camera ordinance, but has tabled the also controversial Infrastructure Trust legislation.
The council will hold a special meeting on April 24 to reconsider the Trust ordinance, which has been through a revision yet continues to raise much ire due to its unclear gameplan, transparency concerns, and guarantee of a profit to investors, which could mean increased user fees or rates for taxpayers.
